Turkish for Hipsters

„Turkish for Hipsters“ is a 10-25 person dinner, during which relaxed participants learn their first Turkish words while playing games.

Özgür Ulucan has another go at passing on a part of Turkish (trash) culture, which has all but fallen into obscurity. This time, as well as at previous events, the topic is bizarre funky music from the 70s and 80s, along with trash films. That’s right, because the old Turkish School has its very own unique versions. Spiderman, Batman and the Hulk were really Turks and dangerous rats mutated into sweet guinea pigs.

After the meal you’ll not only be able to buy bread from a Turkish baker, you’re sure to be able to brag about Turkish trash film culture und the bizarre pop scene with your newly acquired knowledge. And, as per usual in Berlin, the lingua franca is English so that no hipsters will be left out.

Since we know that some of you are a little shy and won’t want to go alone, we are giving away a ticket with a plus one for the event on 31.10.2014 at 7:30 PM.
