House of Namus

House of Namus ist ein Raum und eine Community, die queere Kultur, Kunst und Vielfalt feiert. Die Veranstaltungsreihe, die 2023/24 gemeinsam von Prince Emrah und Interkultur Ruhr (RVR) im Ruhrgebiet etabliert wurde, kombiniert Performances, Musik und Tanz, um einen einzigartigen Safe Space zu schaffen, der Menschen zusammenbringt und Barrieren abbaut.

Neben Main-Acts wie Baba Zula, Kardelen, İstanbul Ghetto Club und Rust Duo wird durch Prince Emrah migrantische, queere Kultur in Szene gesetzt und gefeiert, selbstorganisiert, empowernd und offen für Alle. Zusammen mit Gin Bali, Berivan, Güldeste, Karma Kind, Aylin Ogus, Areezoo Rezvani und Weiteren wird auch die lokale Community-Kultur sichtbar gemacht und gestärkt:

„Prince Emrah’s House of Namus has stood glittering in the Ruhr region since 2023. It’s a house for everyone. Everyone who loves and lives as they wish, and celebrates in such a way that the world changes step by step. This is more than an event – it’s a platform, a space, and a community that celebrates queer culture, art, and diversity. House of Namus founded by Prince Emrah Refugee Activist, Bellydance performer, Drag host and events producer, curator. This community space continually takes on various forms, such as cabaret, parties, gazino, workshops,  festivals and brings together performances, music, dance, and art to create a unique safe space that transcends boundaries and breaks barriers.“

The 2nd House of Namus Festival is a celebration of community space, art, and unapologetic freedom. This is more than an event, it’s vibrant, it’s magical, extravagant and it’s all about creating a warm hot space for queer, marginalized, refugee artists, and every identity in between and beyond.

Live music, powerful performances, film screenings, workshops, and a party that will have us dancing until morning – it’s indoor and outdoor. Dance like nobody’s watching… or like everyone is. Amen to this.
